About me

I’m here because my parents shared a night of passion back in 1951 so if you want to take it up with anyone, complain to Thelma and Horace. Although I was born in Newport, my formative years were spent at Christchurch where I roamed the countryside and got to know a lot about nothing very much. I’m Welsh, but not passionate about it. When it comes to sport (rugby) I support Newport RFC first and Wales second. My first ‘real’ job was with the Royal Navy and I tend to suffer from the slightly odd sense of humour shared by all those who've spent time in the 'Senior Service'. These days I teach IT for a living at University of Wales, Newport: it's not too exciting, but it pays the mortgage. I really like the varied UK coast and countryside and prefer being outdoors except when I'm cooking (and I do love to cook). I'm also very fond of good wine. Oh yeah: I don't really live in Newport, but no-one's ever heard of Undy!

What´s a tag?

A tag works like a keyword. Like categories, they are used to describe people, groups, or posts. You can tag a post with several tags separated by commas.

Example: tags for the post your wrote about your holiday in Australia could be: holiday, australia, down under, sun, hot, melbourne, sydney, dingos.
Many tags help to have your posts be found more easily, but fewer tags also help you with organizing your posts.

However, most users tend to use tags for their own personal organisation of posts and do not allow other people to tag their posts.
