About me

I have been commuting on the Peterborough to Kings Cross line since Jan 1988. During that time I have seen a lot of changes and a fair bit of tragedy. I could write a book of excuses for train delays but I think my favourite has to be "the wrong type of snow". Over the years I have tried to look at the problems of commuting in a calm way, but we commuters pay a lot of money to get to work everyday and deserve to be looked after better. Consistanly the casual traveller has been looked after far better than the commuters. Why? because they dont have to bother with us, we are a "captive audience", they know we have no alternative. As for the service we get,its not the worst, my colleagues here in London have far more trouble than I do on their journeys. Do I hate GNER?? I didn't, I was happy they won the recent franchise, but I do now after the scandal of the 82% increase in parking charges, that really summed up how they feel about us commuters
