About me
Liam Dowds is Director of CIRCLe, an Executive Search & Selection based in Guildford, Surrey. Liam kicked off his career as a Financial Analyst and latterly an Economist with Ford Motor Company. It was whilst with Ford that Liam became increasingly involved in Graduate recruitment. On discovering that recruitment (or rather identifying and bringing on board talent) was what he liked doing best, Liam embarked on a new career with Michael Page Finance. However, having never quite recovered from the realisation that recruitment was all too often about selling people rather than just about people, Liam eventually upped sticks and went on up the recruitment value chain; joining a small Search & Selection firm with offices in Reading and Reigate (where he lives). A few years later Liam, with a couple of former colleagues, then went on to found CIRCLe in 1999. CIRCLeRecruiter, their web based recruitment service, was initially designed as a simple online recruitment process that would allow them to give both good and transparent service to client's and candidates of their Search & Selection service - which it still does. CIRCLeRecruiter has since evolved to become a distinct service in its own right - uniquely combining the principles of Executive Selection with the power of the Internet to provide a high quality yet low cost alternative to agencies, search & selections firms or recruiting direct.
