About me

Just another genetic experiment trying to put off as long as possible that inevitable last secret of life. Sceptical of 'experts' because today's orthodoxy is tomorrow's heresy. A utilitarian trying to make do most of the time. Semi-retired (recommended) but with occasional frantic bouts of work, mostly foreign, which are health-threatening at my time of life. Lives in NE Hampshire, UK, but brought up in West Yorkshire / County Durham. Weight now back under control and in the medically 'normal' category (though earlier 2007 classified as obese), but doggedly working on further reductions to marriage weight (see blog entries). Married 35 years to Linda, dear friend from college, and with two adult sons, one still living at home, but we are working on that too. Perfick (nearly) !
