About me

Brian, aka "Autisticinput", a native of Ontario, Canada, is an older adult who was not diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum until fifty years of age. He did have problems, though, from early years, in cognition and friendship. Without any answer, unfortunately, his parents were not able to find out what was going on in elementary school, secondary (high) school or in adult years before their passing. Even many professionals were not aware of the various aspects of the autistic spectrum before 1995, when the diagnosis of PDD-NOS (official), or Asperger’s Syndrome (by all the evidence, according to diagnostic personnel) was given. Despite this lack of an answer, both for himself and his family (and a few close friends), Brian was able to complete high school (Grade 13, at that time), and get some college and first year university training. Also, with self-education, he was able to get his certification as an electrician, and was able to work on his own, in this trade, for nearly twenty years. However, with the recession of the early nineties, and with the faculties of education not able to understand how people within the autistic spectrum function socially with others, further education (although attempted both part-time and full-time) was jeopardized. Brian has been living on disability allowance for over a decade. Brian still pursues outdoor (landscape) photography, graphic (digital) art from such photographs, poetry, and writing of articles about understanding those on the autistic spectrum. He moved into a place of his own at age 28. He has lived as a single person, with no children of his own. He is currently a resident of Ontario, Canada

User tags
What´s a tag?
A tag works like a keyword. Like categories, they are used to describe people, groups, or posts. You can tag a post with several tags separated by commas.

Example: tags for the post your wrote about your holiday in Australia could be: holiday, australia, down under, sun, hot, melbourne, sydney, dingos.
Many tags help to have your posts be found more easily, but fewer tags also help you with organizing your posts.

However, most users tend to use tags for their own personal organisation of posts and do not allow other people to tag their posts.

You must be logged in to tag this user.
