- Like roses in May Such is Our Love Perennial, Eternal, Passionate Yet So True, and So Rare Like wistful melodies that begin Just when you thought it was done Sung from one end of the World to the other No need to be wined and dined Dear God, just keep our souls And our hearts, inextricably entwined copyright 2008 - Lady Rm more

- Full of the joys of spring

- It's the warmest day for a long time, the sun is out, the blackbirds are singing, and I feel full of hope and optimism. I love this time of the year, when Mother Nature is turning restlessly under her green duvet, almost ready to jump out of bed and get to work. My little pesky grey friends are zooming about the trees chattering at each other... more

- Yesterday we went to an open farm; once we'd been there for a while we no longer noticed the aroma of silage and manure, and had the delight of seeing tiny chicks, lambs and calves, a wonderful reminder of the circle of life. In some ways it is a great shame that formerly working farms have to turn themselves into tourist attractions to be able... more

- I'm never quite sure what to expect with our weather at the moment. Some days we get a bit of everything (including hail and snow...) It's still cold, my fingers are numb as I write, but we've had some sunshine today and I've managed to dry a line of tea towels.... And I can tell it's been a good day weather-wise because the sky had enough... more

- Half of the herb garden soup
- by Oregano
- in foodfun.blog.co.uk
- 33 days old
- This is one of the best times of the year for the "green herbs" in my garden. Chives have been good for the last six weeks and are already budding. Wild garlic and welsh onions are growing well and the lovage is just putting up its first stalks. Although not in my herb garden, stinging nettles are also shooting up; they should be eaten... more

- Welcome back! Have a cuppa and pull up a pew. Well, there hasn't been an Inklets meeting for a while, because the majority of our physical members are students, so we've all journeyed away to various parts of the country for a month over Easter. This doesn't mean we can escape the trials of writing though, oh no. We have two major challenges to... more

- Spring Fever

- I hate March. Gloom doom. All the really bad things that have happened in my life have happened in March. But - as the proverb says -No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. It is now April. And I feel a lot better. Spring is sprung, I have riz. Possibly prematurely, as I met someone on the Dog walk this morning who... more
