- Last night my OH did not get much sleep (No and it's not due to me, you dirty lot). The neighbours were pumping away 'til about 2am. At least, their music was. They were having a party. And even with the windows shut and double glazed, she could still hear it. Me, on the other hand, had the gall to sleep through it! This morning, I got up... more

- My lover was attempting to wrestle my hedge into submission with hedgecutter, loppers and secateurs so I thought I'd better go and admire and make encouraging noises, when I got diverted by a tortoise! We gave it a dish of water, but were uncertain what to do next. I decided to ask immediate neighbours if they'd lost a tortoise and let them know... more

- LOL. Someone read my mind. Uh, CLEARLY I want my erections to last for hours and stay hard through multiple climax - What a silly question! I'm really bored. The Germans/Rastafarians next door (basically BMW exchange workers with dreadlocks and a dog called Ziggy), are having another BBQ; They've had one just about every day this week, and they... more

- For a brief period today (about five minutes, actually), I got well and truly smitten by the gardening bug. First call, last year's newly-erected wall greenhouse. I intend to prick out and pot up the tomato and annual flower seedlings. Except they were no more. A series of seedling stumps, reminiscent of the petrified forest greeted me. It... more

- Last night's meeting went very well. Everyone showed up and we all want gates for our road entrance and we're going to get quotes for getting the road surfaced because we've loads of pot holes and our slabs are all knackered. Apparently kids have been using the ginnel for all sorts and it's just providing easy access for opportunistic thieves... more

- Neighbours and families in the North are more likely to be more sociable than their Southern counterparts, according to a new report. Which either makes my street an unusual case, or Northern neighbours are extra friendly. (Or it could just mean don't believe everything you read). Most discussion on the HYS thread has dramatically veered away... more

- Sunday was rather a quiet day in the fifth toadstool from the left. Pendragon and I were busy indoors, when we would definitely have preferred to be out. The day was much too cold for walking, and we were busy clearing out cupboards,to finally get rid of the excess baggage we seem to be storing. Two large black bags were filled,by which time... more
