- On Monday I posted that I was setting up an on-line petition on the Number 10 website regarding future funding by the BBC towards the Eurovision Song contest. This morning I received an e-mail to say my petition was rejected due to * Duplicate - this is similar to and/or overlaps with an existing petition or petitions Apparently there are... more

- Hello! No I Haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I've just been busy, honest! Our respective evenings out went well and as I thought we met up to come home together. Our evening with J&J was also a success, with them asking when we could go out again. I did receive a phone call the following day however saying that... more

- First time writing with the new 'subtitle and 'summary' parts..where do they show them anyway? The university is having orientation(july 7th) for people like me who are undecided. Actually, I am undecided because I want to transfer after a semester, but I guess that doesn't matter. Although I don't mind going(good way to see the campus), it... more

- So Sir .Terry Wogan is in a huff because the song he chose to represent Britain in the silly song contest finished last .It was'nt the worst song in it , but not at all one of the best .The winning Russian singer is a huge star there and in the former soviet states .The best that Britain could manage was an entirely unrememberable song ,... more

- This morning I discovered that the BBC bankrolls the Eurovision Song Contest with British tax payers money. I therefore submitted an e-petition on the Government website for which I am awaiting confirmation. Most of the short names appeared to be blocked (Eurovision, Song Contest etc) so I had to call it Boombangabang. I will update if it is... more

- Am really enjoying all the free time I've got now, but I feel disorientated, not having anything that I HAVE to be doing. Feel like I should be revising! Not that I want to, obviously. We were all meant to be going to pub last night but ended up having a Eurovision party at BF's and I got v. v. drunk on Magners (which is stronger than I would... more

- I'm going off line here to discuss a certain European song contest. Music being my focus. I watched the Eurovision song contest last night. The only reason I watched it was to be entertained by the commentary of Terry Wogan. Those not in Europe may not be aware of this competition, but in Europe, it's normally a big event. The overall result... more

- I love Eurovision. Always have. All those silly songs. All that cheering and colour and prancing about. Sir Terry making witty comments from his position on the moral high ground. The terrible intro people. The green room ramblings. The fake tan. Last night's was a triumph. The intro people wouldn't stop shouting and making fabulously... more

- Eurovision Song Contest?
- by SandyVR

- Veteran Eurovision Song Contest commentator Sir Terry Wogan has cast doubt on whether he would be involved in covering the event again. He said it was "no longer a music contest" and that prospects for Western European participants were "poor". (Metro.co.uk) You had to be Eastern European to be allowed to play. This is little to do with music,... more

- ... Andy Abraham. He had no chance. This Eurovision fix is not a song contest any more. It's farce. ... Avram Grant. Sacked from being Chelsea manager eight months into a four year contract. Why? Because Chelsea came second in the Champions League and the Premiership. How can they cope with only being second. It just goes to show how... more
