- Well, I don't know about everyone else but the minute I joined this group, all the wildlife seemed to disappear. I've seen several Meadow Brown butterflies on the downs, together with a few bumblebees, but not much else. - A couple of days ago, whilst walking Dog on the downs, I came across a lovely white and black butterfly that obligingly posed for a photo opportunity. Naturally I did not have my camera with me. I attempted a photo with my mobile phone, but the grass and brambles have turned a strange shade of purply green and there is no butterfly to be seen.... more
