- Avoid Newquay like the plague. During the day its full of topless red skinned youths. During the evenings its full of drunken topless red skinned youths. Newquay must be the toilet of Cornwall and the people there are'nt very friendly either. I had to ask in a sweet shop where the bus station was - only to be told there was'nt one. On leaving... more

- We recently revisited a restaurant in Hayle called the Foundry. Hayle is a bit of a strange town in that the vast majority of shops and restaurants are strung out along the B3301 over a considerable distance. - On the train back from Cornwall this week I was wondering what to do with the hog's pudding I had purchased on the campsite. The obvious thing would be to use it in a cooked breakfast. However, just as many people have tried using black pudding in salads or starters it occured to me that white pudding or hog's pudding could be used that way too.... more
