- Dubai is where is at architecturally these days. The crown will be the Burj. When completed it will the tallest building in the world by a long shot. The lead architect is Adrian Smith of the Chicago’s Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Its final height is a secret but it is believed will be 808 metres (2651 feet) high. more
