  • At Birmingham University one of the old halls of residence was knocked down and replaced with a rather impressive new residence which will house over 800 students each year from this September onwards.   • Tonight is the big event I run at work other than the stuff during welcome week. It's the Guild Awards. Basically its the oscars for student groups in the guild. Lots of fun for them. A little stressful for me. I love it really... Will hopefully post photos tomorrow. more

  • Today a student accosted me as I was accosting them in the library. He was walking quite quickly away from me and yelled at me "The referendum is as much a lie as the guild throwing out the Christian Union two years ago!" He walked too quickly for me to reply.
