- The racing experiment is not going to plan at the moment but I'm going to back John Dunlop's Pure Song at Pontefract (19.05) to try and get things back on track. Well drawn and with the pace to be handy early she looks worthy of each way support with 16/1 widely available. - I'm going to try and get Fourth Dimension matched at 4.70 on Betfair for the closer at Yarmouth tonight. Teresa Spearing's gelding, who loves it round here, ran well enough in a better race at Windsor last week and took this race twelve months ago. more

- Not a lot doing tonight but I've posted Trumpet Lily (19:30 Windsor) at 4.30 on Betfair to see if it gets matched. Elsewhere, with the football season not too far away I fancy a little early Champions League bet on Juventus at the 25/1 put up by Blue Square and Corals, a price which I don't think will last too long. more

- A late post but I'm going to try and get these matched on Betfair today - 16:15 Perth - Barney - 5.20 16:25 Haydock - Peters Storm - 4.30 For my own records only - Charlie Crab (15:40 Perth) was matched at 3.25 this morning which I thought was value until he drifted to around 3.80. Fortunately he still did the honourable thing and won. more
