- Speak it softly but I’ve managed to claw myself up to 8th place. - Let’s face it, I have no idea what I’m doing with the pitching side of this game, how are you supposed to get a handle on it when the likes of big, fat Sir Sidney Ponson pitches 6 shutout innings and combines with three relievers, the likes of Farnsworth and Igawa for crying out loud, to blank the Mets after getting stuffed earlier in the day? ... more

- I may have mentioned this before but in the world of fantasy baseball in general, and my team in particular, pitching sucks. Maybe the league of 14 teams and 21 players makes it too deep to be so dependant on pitch or ditch but I seem to be getting the shitty end of the stick at every move. - The facts of the season so far are, 2nd place in AL West, 1.5 games back of the Angels, 28:23 record. We’ve just swept the reigning World Series Champion Red Sox in a three game series and in the process relegated them to 2nd place in AL East, behind the surprising Rays; so what’s not to like?
