- Barclays only opened their branch at 215 High Street, next door to Argos, a few months ago, possibly to relieve the pressure on their Hoe Street Branch. - Life is too short to discuss Argos in any detail twice. This branch at 203-207 High Street is between Abbey and Barclays. It is much of a muchness with the other one down the hill, but opens half an hour earlier every morning except Sunday, when it opens half an hour later. On Thursday, Friday and Saturdays they shut at 6.00pm. more
